Are you interested in hunting the ultimate North America big game animal? Now is your chance!

During the spring (May10th-25th) of even-numbered years and Fall (October 1st - 21st) of odd numbered years, we offer two Brown Bear hunting opportunities that just can’t be beat. These hunts usually book up two or more years in advance; so if you are serious about going, you will need to plan ahead. The price for the boat is the same for one hunter as it is for four. Many times our clients will take the boat with two or three hunters. These are trophy animals and the fewer clients on the boat the greater chance each client has of getting a very large bear.

These hunts depart from the Homer Small Boat Harbor. You can load onto the boat the night before your trip, as we will be leaving at first light. We will then cross Cook Inlet, with a short break for halibut fishing, to the Alaska Peninsula where your hunting will begin.

Brown Bear hunting requires a lot of "glassing" and much of this can be done from the boat. This is a major advantage as it also keeps your scent away and allows you to often get ahead of the bear with the use of our skiff. You may also want to hike up a nearby hillside and glass from there. We often see bears right on the beach but hiking for your trophy is not uncommon. Spring days are long so you will have lots of time. Normally in a 7-day hunt you will see 7-15 Bears. Our hunters have taken bears from 7’ to 11’. After all tags have been filled, we'll do some halibut fishing as long as weather and time allow. Quite often halibut are caught from the boat while anchored in the hunting area.

Unguided Hunts: $16,000.00 for up to 4 hunters. 8-day 8-night hunt.
May 10-25th & October 1st - 21st of even numbered years.**

Guided Hunts: $13,500.00 per hunter with a maximum of 3 hunters. 8-day 8-night hunt.

** For Brown Bear and Mountain Goats you must be an Alaskan resident or be hunting with an Alaskan resident who is within one degree of kindred to you. Check with Alaska Department of Fish and Game for actual definition. Basically, you can hunt with an in-law who is an Alaskan resident if you are not one.
